Snore & Mouthguards

We believe a visit to the dentist is more than an errand or something to check off your to-do list – rather, it’s a loving act of self-care.

Mouth Guards

Mouth guards are an essential piece of equipment in contact sports. They should be worn by athletes of all ages who participate in sports such as:

- Football
- Hockey
- Lacrosse
- Wrestling
- Basketball
- Baseball/Softball
- Soccer

any sport where contact is a possibility.

Wearing a mouth guard while being active helps prevent against structural damage to your teeth and jaw as well to your cheeks, tongue, and lips while remaining active in sports. Mouth guards have also been shown to help decrease the risk of concussions.

A custom mouth guard in hardened plastic is created specifically for the optimal protection of your mouth (and can sometimes come in your team’s favorite colors or inlaid with unique designs). The thinness of the custom mouth guard allows for easy breathing and also allows for easy communication.

Snore Guard

It is estimated that more than 90 million North Americans snore. Taking into account the snorer’s spouse and children, as many as 160 million people are negatively affected by snoring. And snoring doesn’t merely interrupt your sleep cycle. The struggle for breath can result in snoring blood pressure, which can damage the walls of the carotid arteries and increase the risk of stroke. At certain levels of severity, complete blockage of the airway space by the soft tissues and the tongue can occur. If this period of asphyxiation lasts longer than 10 seconds, it is called obstructive sleep Apnea (OSA), a medical condition with serious long-term effects.
